I don't know if anyone has asked this. I was surfing the PAOE website and in the forums there was a discussion about farms. It seemed that people didn't think to highly of them. Are they really that bad? In AOK i relied heavily on farms and probably thinking about using them a lot in AOM. Are there a lot of animals on AOM maps? Do animals regenerate as the game goes on? Could someone clarify this for me?

Thanks guys. That pretty much clears things up for me. I heard they weren't as good as AOK farms, but i will still use them when i play AOM. Again thanks

well i don't start farming until late classical age when all the food is used up. usualy the deer and other hunted animals dry up around the middle of classical age and then you have to get the closer food like berries and cows which i save because cows get bigger the longer you wait to slaughter them.

That's awesome GoldenShadow i had no idea cows get bigger the longer you wait. That's good advice and i think i'll put it to good use when AOM is within my grasp!

I'm not a big fan of DM games. I used to be with AOE. I played DM like crazy on the zone. DM is good for just massing tons of units really quickly, having big wars and not worrying about resources. I like random maps much better i like playing the full game, but that's not to say DM doesn't have it's benefits

Can you still walk over them? It wasn't quite clear from the screenshots.
