I have NO clue how some people make judgements so early... but anyways.
I've only played it for about 4-5 hours and within that time period... I can say that it was anti-climactic for the first 2 hours and then very nice after a while.
I guess it's b/c I started with the Greeks, but in the beginning you definitely don't "feel" like it's any diff from AoE and it's hard to get used to stuff.
But then you start noticing the subtleties and it's kinda nice.. i still wish the tech icons were bigger though.
Also, it's a LOT slower for some reason. But I like that b/c i am butt slow at RTS games so it's really nice for me.

The graphics are great, the feel is great, but when I play, I feel like I have my hands tied. I say this because I feel limited in how I can customize the game. As an example, you cannot choose colors, you're very limited in game types and map size. I'm starting to tinker with the editor and that has me more excited, but I feel like I shouldn't have to learn the editor to get the features I want.

Quoted from Engiskhan:

What?!??! You will obviously have to learn to use the editor before you can use it just as you must learn the game to play it. We do not magically know how to use a program or play a game....
