Im pretty sure that you can use as many as you want on lan. I have a question myself.
If I were to setup a game on the advanced setup for multiplayer can anther computer on my lan direct ip me and join with the same cd key. I dont think it makes sence for me to buy 3 aom games just to support my network. After all I do own each computer at home. My brother really wants to play with me on the internet so thats why Im asking.

one of my machines is win98 and the other is win2k. both computers can share files/printers through the network. even though, could it still be a communication problem? has anyone else tried to play over a mixed windows network?
