Ok, here we go... More information about the Civs in AoE/RoR, including their bonuses (which should stay very similar in new game) and what I think about new stuff...
Assyrians-
New possible UU- Assault Chariot (Assyrian's special chariot mentioned by Last_Knight).
Carthaginian- Naval Civ.
Bonuses-
-Transports 30% faster.
-Fire Galley +25% attack.
Acadamy units and all Elephant units +25% hit points.
Possible UU- Boarding Galley (Carthaginians were Pheonicians, and they used this tactic alot, as well as the Ram Trireme).

-Units with no tange +2 LOS.
-Seige Workshop units cost 50% less.
-Units four times more resistant to conversion.
(BTW, they do NOT get Temples or Priests)
Possible UU- Throwing Hoplite (I'll move onto the Hoplites, etc. later)
Other possible UU- Mirror Tower (high range and power, but costs huge amounts of resources and time to build).
Palmyran- Trade and Archer Civ.
Bonuses-
-Free Tribute
-Gold per trade trip doubled.
-Villagers cost 50% more, have armour, and work 20% faster.
-Camel Riders 25% faster.
Possible UU- Trade Cart (like in AoK).
Roman- Infantry and Seige Civ.
Bonuses-
-Buildings cost 15% less, except Towers, Walls and Wonders.
-Towers cost 50% less.
-Swordsmen attack 33% faster.
Possible UU- Centurion (very heavy Infantry).
Ok, about the Academy... It's still there, but the units are no longer Hoplites. To make it more realistic, only Greeks get Hoplites, and only the Romans get Centurions. These are their UUs. Legions are no longer called Legions, as this is a name given to a group of Roman soldiers. Academy units will also have new names and new looks- the first of the line will use large axes (like the AoE starting sequence), the second and third will still have spears, the third in the line having the best spear. Their sheilds will depend on what techs you have researched (Bronze Shield, Iron Shield, Tower Shield). I don't know what the units should be called, however.
Bowmen should now just be called Archers, and the next in line should be called something other than 'Improved Archer', because I dun like that name... ^-^
Male and Female Villagers will be in the game of course, and buildings will be to scale. Trade Ships will work like they do in AoK. Units should be able to garrison in Towers (only one or two), but not TCs, as this will change the AoE style.
Ok, I'm done now... ^-^
