Apparently ES considered the ability to modify zoom to be an exploit and removed it. So what ES are basically stating here is if one really wants to see more of the map, one needs to buy a 21" or greater monitor. But wait, that would be an exploit -- so perhaps people with larger monitors should be limited to 1024x768, just to be fair to those with smaller monitors. Sigh.

Just ran a few tests, and it looks like I spoke too soon. At 640x480, the viewable area of the map is identical to that at 1280x1024. This game is apparently set up like the original Diablo.

Savy, the problem with that idea, is then who would ever want to play with someone who's computer wasn't as good as theirs. (as well as it would take a ton of work, if it was even possible) By doing that, ES would basically be saying, those of you you have low end systems, you can buy the game for the single player, but don't expect to play any multi-player games.

hey, i just wanna get one thing right?..
do yous want to fix this because the bigger the amount of map you can see more enjoyable to play with or gives you an edge over the person you are playing against. If so for the advantage, how?

Well it's like driving a Russian Lada now instead of a German Mercedes Benz without the zoom-out. Did I pay for a soviet Lada, geez.
