I haven't been playing this game very long, since I just bought it a week and a half ago, but I have been noticing that there is more strategy involved. At first, I was not able to figure out exactly why this was the case, till I thought about the lack of trebs. How often AOC games boiled down to two armies surrounding their trebs, and trebbing one another's trebs, and villies repairing the trebs getting trebbed...that pretty soon I wished I'd never even heard of the word "treb" in the first place, much have a bunch of them clogging up my screen. And now they aren't! That in itself is one of the sweetest strategic improvements in this game over AOC. Thank God they no longer exist...or, from the timeline of AOM, they do not exist yet.

I never thought trebs were a problem in AoK. Just sally forth with a small regiment of knights and set fire to his trebs.
