Game lasted > But when we started getting around 1hr10min into the game the lag really started getting bad. And at 1hr20min it was 1 step every 20-30 seconds. Finally I had to Task Manager and kill AOM because it was so unbearable. Task Manager was reporting that AOM was using a WHOPPING 918 MEGS of memory. No wonder it was lagging so hard, it was having to seriously hit the virtual cache. Why should a 4 player game, 2 human 2 AI take 918 megs of memory? Holy hanna in a hannabasket... I think there is a memory leak issue or some really bad memory managment going on. In AOK, we could play 3 human verse 5 AI on hard and get lag, but never play stopping. I'm curious to see if anyone else is having lag or memory leak issues. I'm not harping on the guys at ES - I'm a Software Engineer for a living. Our shop (Bell+Howell Proquest) has over 50 developers for two different products. So I know the ropes. Just like to help them figure out whats wrong and fix it.
