Let’s get right to the meat of this piece, which will answer the question, “Is Microsoft’s Age of Mythology really as good as all the other magazines and sites say it is? Or did those media outlets write their reviews before they even played the final copy?” The final answer to those questions is “No” and “It sure seems like it.”
From the looks of it (and will go over it), you sure didn't play the game either!

The production values are incredible, the unit balance is solid, the multiplayer is great, the addition of Gods and God powers is excellent, and the myths-based storyline is both familiar and interesting.
Then why the so low of score? It has great balance, great multiplayer, and the new "addition" of gods and god powers is excellent...and you say there is nothing newly renovating, but just said the Quote: However, I must admit that I found myself overwhelmed by a nagging sense of déjà vu. Déjà vu? Déjà vu! I’m sure you said that with the Warcraft series, Rainbow Six series, and The Sims. Of course you would! Because you’re a none-biased gaming site! Quote: Keeping the gods happy is done by having villagers pray at temples (or, if you’re Norse, by having your soldiers engage in battle). Doing these tasks will give you “power points,” which are right there next to wood, gold, and food on the interface. Power Points? Are you sure your not talking about a computer program? There’s Microsoft Power Point, but no “power points” in Age of Mythology. And don’t forget about the Egyptians, who get there “power points” from building monuments to the gods. Quote: The more power points you accumulate, the more god powers you’ll be able to invoke. Feel like unleashing a plague of serpents on your enemy? What about sending down a rain of meteors to teach those heathens a lesson? You can do it all as long as you keep your power points high, and appease your God! Gosh dang it, what the heck is a power point? I think you mean favor, and with favor you cannot “buy” god powers. You only get 4 god powers per game. This just shows you that you haven’t even played Age of Mythology: Quote: Let’s get right to the meat of this piece, which will answer the question, “Is Microsoft’s Age of Mythology really as good as all the other magazines and sites say it is? Or did those media outlets write their reviews before they even played the final copy?” The final answer to those questions is “No” and “It sure seems like it.” You sure you weren’t talking about yourself? Dude, play the game before you write a review, I respect your honest opinion, but when your opinion is on something you have never even played, or seen, or whatever. Then there are problems. I give your review of Age of Mythology, PC Game world, a 1 out of 10.
they aren't smart enough to make their own.
