A lot of people used to crack jokes about the "adze" technology for the egyptians, the one that lets them knock down trees quickly.
Maybe this wouldn't seem as useless, if we had more heavily-forested maps. Imagine a crew of Eggy woodcutters, individually Alt-clicked on separate trees, just mowing their way through a heavy thicket that you thought was protecting your base.
If done properly, you could cut a path wide enough to run a raiding party through, and do it faster (and more tactically) than a forest fire would do. OR, you could cut up to a point, and put your chariot archers in there as snipers, protected by a long run through the trees.
Now -- if we could only let ES know that the Adze should also allow Egypt a chance to clear out the Atlantian Lush... THEN it would be a pretty cool tech.
Whaddaya think, people? Anyone got a heavy forest map?
