Interestingly enough, few people have been playing Greeks lately (even among us lowly Vanilla AoMers), and yet, a seldom used siege engine - with a little twist, could easily change the civ trend on ESO: garrisoning in Helepolis.
I did a little researching in the scenario editor, and here's what I've found: 2) Similarly, villagers, gatherers, and laborers increase Helepolis 3) Archers of any type (Toxote, Chariot Archer, Slinger, Gastrophates, Peltasts) increase Helepolis 4) With siege engineers, a Helepolis filled with five archers of any type attacks with 32 pierce. When I pitted three Helepolis against ten hoplites, only one Helepolis died. The five archers inside that Helepolis were emediately ungarrisoned, and took out the hoplites with relative ease. 5) As for siege attack, a 3 Helopolis A couple quick notes: Unfortunately, not a whole lot of games make it to the Mythic Age,
1) Melee units of any type (Spearmen, Hoplites, Ulfsarks, Axemen, etc.) increase Heleplois attack by about 1 pierce apiece. When added up (a maximum of 5 garrison), you can improve Helepolis
1) Allies can garrison in Helepolis, aiding in attack.
2) Archer upgrades to garrisoned archers do not add extra to Helepolis attack. Similarly, weapon upgrades to not affect Helepolis attack either.
