norse, what a great civilization, you just can't hate them. now, i'm not gonna write some long inexplicable strategy on each norse civilization, but i am gonna tell YOU! Yes You! how to really use the norse military, economy, and scouting to your best advantage.

Norse, have always been looked upon as a rushing civilization, well, because, They ARE! most adversaries of a norse player usually try to build a quick tc for defense or a defensive base against them, well, then, let's go ahead and screw that tactic, by A. Killing their economy because they are too paranoia. in the archaic age 1v1, or even 2v2, you should be able to manage to ulfsarks scouting the place. the great thing about norse is, since their units are so versatile and interchangeable, the enemy doesn't know what your gonna use. all the norse can use ulfsarks, raiders, or T.a, because the economic costs are low, and the gold and food and wood ratios are very close. early on, they won't be going for large gold mines, but always keep an eye on them somehow, whether with ravens, or spy, or even just a stray ulfsark just sitting their, it's worth it. Eventually, the guy will resort to each and every one, and that is when you go for the kill, in the mean time, you should fortify a somewhat forward base, with some towers, maybe walls, cuz you should expect an attack on the base. while you get some guys to fortify and stuff, send others out to make sure that they don't get anymore tc's, usually there are about one to two extra around the place, massing ulfsarks, ta and some raiders would be both good, effective, and totally hard to counter. some hersirs, and myth would definitely help. build a tower next to the tc and wait for a near full pop. then go build a tc there, do this for the next, by the way, don't let him biuld a tc somewhere else while your sitting around waiting for the supplies to come in!! and continue the gold thing... after all the tc's are accounted for, you can A. wait for him to give up(lol) B. wait for him to get desperate and send his suicide army(lol) C. just power up and kill him, either way, you've got more pop. he's got no gold, and your mighty happy that you control 4/5 of the map, with no dispute at all. now, with your army away and all, raiding at your base near the begginnin of this great plan may be a pest, towers will help, but not enough, the only way to really handle this, is easy, with massed ulfsark builders, raiders should be a scare away, and with eggy myth raiders and etc. three or four hersirs stationed everywhere are sure fire scarecrows for the little buggers. however, against another norse, the strategy may not work because you won't be allowed to build up for long. so... in this case, build a sorta or defensive base, and RAID RAID RAID, you make a force for attacking random buildings, a small wing for scouting possible sights, and a force for raiding, i find ulfsarks and raider combos work well, ulfsarks are far more versatile cuz their los doesn't completely suck! building more buildings forward while he is busy can keep his army occupied while you continue to smash stuff. eventually, his economy, and brain! will wipe out cuz of constant attacks, if your smart, you'll be able to micro manage your army faster than he can find a way to counter it, which shouldn't be too hard for you anyway, so, then he's a dead man, or woman, i never heard of a girl who actually can think..... no offense, but, i'd really like to meet someone who actually can lol...
ok... continuing, or not.... ok, this strategy is also very much improved by the copper weapons improvement, and good scouting, it's key, and don't fight battles you can't win. cuz a base can be rebuilt, your moral, not so easy, once your army is dead, mind, is also key, two keys, fine.
