There were some good replies to my previous post, and i agree that norse units have been smashed on by ES alot, but they still are some of the most under estimated units of all.. the norse infantry build, and a quick ulfsark tower combo is easy.
To the real thing, water, alot of people believe that thor is most likely the best norse on sea, but the improvements in the armory do not help that much, and a dwarf economy is not much more comparable to another norse one. starting off with one dock and a house, 3 villies on food, and the rest on wood, with 2 dwarves and an ox cart on gold afterward would be good. you should have at least three fishing boats out by then, and should be able to constantly pour more villies on wood and dwarves on gold. while doing that, run one or two ulfs up to a good rushing spot, build a temple and a house and dock, after spotting the enemy docks, advance at about 5:20 and then use all your military units except two to attack their docks, build up an army of ulfs, or raiding cav, with the food got from fishing(don't forget to keep on making villies and fishing ships) from the dock you built next to your base, make many longboats, maybe five
by then, five will be able to keep other military boats at bay until the docks are down. then, by 9 minutes or ten, surprisingly, you can have full pop military and a good economy. (ouchie).. i believe this strategy is a lot more quick and effective against anyone at all, you know, unless the guys an ass who will spend his wood gathering time attacking your forward rush base, in which his eco would suck, and you'd win eventually anyway...
