For a long time, I've never been able to win a single game on AOM. Now I learned out about mass producing villagers and I'm getting better. I've been trying to beat a computer on hard but I just can't get my strategy down. I have about 18-23 villagers by classical and I advance at about the same time as the computer. I build 2-3 barracks and I keep making more villagers. By the heroic age, I have 35-38 villagers and about 18-25 getting food from hunting. I also have about 40 soldiers by now. Right about at this time, I'm usually heavily attacked by enemies. My hunters are attacked and by the time I get my army over there, I only have 10 or so villagers. I try to keep attacking the enemy villagers, but they stay inside their base and they never leave. Can someone give me some advice?

What civ are you playing, and which deity or deities? People will be better able to relate if you tell who you're playing with.
