For others, such as me, I usually put the resource sites of my foes right in my attack path, so during my attack my enemy's economy is crippled.
However I'm sure there's weirder still out there. I've heard of MU raiding, but I'm assuming the effectiveness of the raid is based much on the speed of the MU.
It seems AOM is almost completely based on raiding. It's often "kill your oppenent's economy or you're dead meat!" I find this fine but sometimes I crave a full-on fight without deathmatch supra-advancing capabilities. Sometimes I enjoy the primary aspect of the game to be the armies clashing. In some situations it's more fun to send your army straight at your enemy's, both sending more and more soldiers, till one side gives out and the other side occupies the area. It would make the game a bit more interesting and intense.
However I do want to say that AoM is enjoyable in it's raiding aspect, at least in my opinion. It's just that occasionally I want a more full-on, total, army-clashing fight instead of the sneak attacks and ambushes of raids.
Also, I've seen Ok, did you think you'd get out of this without a poll? NOT! I've got a poll Also, feel free to discuss or talk about your weird raiding strategies or whatever like that, considering that's what half this thread is about. Which do you enjoy more, raids (attacking the opposition's economy with fast units) or Army Vs. Army fighting (attacking the opposition's forward/military base with units, generally clashing with their army)?
