In about every game, when it comes to a stale-mate or the opponent is a bit better I split my army in two and surround his base. It's very important that the opponent doesn't see your two armies. Then I attack from one side and wait till his army appears on that side. Usualy I attack with some fast units for the first attack and I run away when his army comes. Then I attack from the other side with devastating force and he is forced to move his entire army across his base. By now I would have some newly created millitary in my forward base where the stand off was first and with that I can easyly take off his army buildings (rax, crax, forts etc.).
So the thing is that his army is "stuck in traffic" while I make the best use of my army.

well, i personally call it flanking. it's pretty easy to fool newbie players, as they are after all inexperienced. it gets harder once you get into the 1750s or so.

if you build afew arrow ships i'm talking on med and then hit them on land the ships would probably see you move and especially on med on some parts of map ships can fire at your army and if your army is bigger if he runs to his ships you kinda screwed

I just used this one in a game. It must be planned from the very beggining. Find a tc near your enemies base and keep a scout or any unit there. When possible build another military building there. On the way to herioc age build an army. Once you hit herioc age and have enough to build a tc move your army to the other side of your enemies base. Build the tc then wait. If your enemy has any forces then he should pull them together to stop the threat of a forward base. While he is coming to destroy the tc train fast units and ranged units at your forward tc. Move the fast units to the side and keep the ranged units near the tc. As the army comes use the fast units to hit and run and slow them down, while moving your main army in. Do everything in your power to hinder your enemies movement from your foward tc to their base. You would be suprised how little horsemen it takes to slow down an army. This one is particulaly nasty because you can keep cranking units from your forward base and sending them in.

Play Loki and Fh. Ive done it, everone expects a rush or very early raiding. Still advance to classical sub 5, but go right to heroic. Undermine, + walking woods and as many units as you can muster during advance to heroic and attack. The Mountain Giant can do the tc all by itself.
