I'm trying to play AoM on a shared computer. I have AoM gold. I can play the expansion just fine, but when I try to play vanilla (by having the first CD in and using the Thor icon within the AoM folder) I get this error:

You must have administrator rights to play Age of Mythology.Access is denied.

Can anyone offer me some advice on how to fix this?

Are you using Vista? If so then right click the icon and click Run as Administrator

The computer is Windows XP and I don't have administrative access. Am I pretty much stuck?

You could become an Administrator OR play it in the Administrators account.

I might as well make a sig like everyone else.

You have not bothered to read what he said. It is a shared computer, so he is obviously not owning it, and has no administrative access.

Unfortunately, you are screwed. The ability to play as non-admin was added along with the TT expansion.
