I'm not sure of a good use for this yet, but it does work and it could come in handy for someone I'm sure. It is possible to inject code into a trigger, such as the message trigger, to display additional information. For example, the message trigger accepts a text string to display to the user. We know the double quotes " are bad, because it causes a string termination, but this can be used to your advantage. Create a message trigger, set the timeout to 5, and in the text area box, type this:
Player 1 Population is "+trPlayerGetPopulation(1)+"
exactly as shown.
Player 1 Population is "+trPlayerGetPopulation(1)+"
exactly as shown.
When run the message will show the current population of player 1. The code will generate trigger code (in the trigtemp.xs file) that reads: so, anyone got a good use for this?
trMessageSetText("Player 1 Population is "+trPlayerGetPopulation(1)+"", 5);
