Hi, I appreciate this is a newbie question but since I only have internet access at work I can't take advantage of the downloadable tutorials.
When I design a scenario, all the villies controlled by AI stand around like a bunch of lemons when I test or start the game. They don't actually DO anything.
I've seen implied references to 'Unit Active' and 'Unit Work' settings but don't really know enough to figure out what I should be doing.
Please help!

Go to the scenairo tab at the top and then go to player data. Then click the ai button on the right of the player, and assing them the default ai.

Yes, just as DarkKnight said. Also, when you select the AI file, you must click the Open button to open that AI file. (Double-clicking will not work)
Hey DarkKnight,
I see you've been eating your spinach lately . Congrats!

I've gone to the AI button in the past, selected an AI file from the list and got the error message 'File could not be compiled' when I playtest the scenario.
I'm lost and feel totally out of my depth cause there's no instructions (anywhere I can find) how to start up from scratch as a scenario designer.
Can anyone advise me of a good resource please???

Select the defaul ai, and then hit open. If you need more help with the editor, read the stickied thread by Shadows.
I also made a tutorial if you want to read it: Here
