Hey Anubis_Lord,

Could you list some information about your scenario:

Single player
or Multi
Map Size (click the menu called WORLD, and then submenu MAP SIZE to find out)

does the lag occur during regular gameplay or in cinematic mode?

Do you get this kind of lag when you play the official AoM campaign?

it only occurs during regular game play. its kinda like helms deep, 2v2 city defense with some triggers. there r a lot of units, that might be causing it...

Yes, if you have a lot of units for a multiplayer scenario, it will lag badly.

Also, make sure that you don't have any triggers that are Looping. They do cause a lot of lags as well.

You should also try to reduce the number of unnecessary units such as trees/gaia objects in the corner of that map that wouldn't affect the game.

Theres lots of factors, usually many many units fighting (or even just standing around) on the map will chew up your processor.
Ways to decrease lag:
-Don't put too much fire/smoke/effects in places where theres going to be alot of action.
-Keep elevation simple.
-avoid stuffing the place with grass or rocks or other things, especially if the player isn't even going to notice them.
- Looping triggers cause lag in MP

Ultimatly the performance of the game will depend on your graphics card. If you have a good one AOM'll run fine, if not AOM'll be choppy
