What I did was pretty much what you mentioned, a single triggered scenario. As to the triggers I made, they intend to implement the following changes to gameplay:
1- increase the gap between the civs, make the way theyīre played more distinct; almost every Major God Bonus had its effect "increased";
2- increase specialization of military units (enhance their qualities ex. Hippikon even better against Archers, Toxotes better against Infantry, and so on, but particlarly counter unitsīs qualities);
ex. Hippikon/Contarius +0.6X attack vs archers, +0.05 pierce armor; Toxotes/Arcus +0.5X attack vs infantry; Hoplite/Ulfsark/Murmillo/Spearman +0.5X attack vs cavalry, +0.05 hack armor (+0.1 Hoplite);
ex. (counter units) Axeman -1 hack attack, -0.05 pierce armor, +3X attack vs infantry; Peltasts +2.5X attack vs archers; Prodromos +2.5X attack vs cavalry;
Every unit got more specialized and the game is more likely to be decided on a large battle, because, unless you have pretty good scouting all along the match, thereīs the chance of being badly defeated by your counter units;
3- I wanted economic boom to work a little better by Heroic in TT so I reduced some unitsī pop slot count in order to field a bit larger army, even with lots of villagers; the cavalry improvements help early raiding, though (shown below);
4- all cavalry / Huskarl / Chariot Archer / Pegasus / Ulfsark is 2.0 faster; all other units (including siege, vils, myth) are 1.5 faster; this have proven (imho) to be more dynamic and fun; Old cavalry times of AOE are back, without the disequilibrium...
5- I improved Hippikonīs and Throwing Axemanīs hack armor 0.1 and 0.05, gave War Elephants 150 hitpoints, and decreased Ancestorīs Minions hack armor by 0.1; Raiding Cavalry -0.05 hack armor, +0.5* attack vs villagers;
6- every Migdol unit was beefed up, and the result was better balancing (ex. Camelry +0.5X attack vs archers, +1,5X vs cavalry); I also improved Setīs animals a little and reduced archer training time slightly for Set player;
And so on.. Ask me if you wanna know more.

I was not able to "copy/paste" the triggers to other scenarios, please help if you can. I tried to edit the standard RM scripts that are in "rm" folder, by programming C directly.. it didnīt work, even though the functions/procedures are correct; Do I have to sort of "compile" those scripts? Thanx again.
