Ok this is the cause of that:

CPN file out=will load.

When I started mine I started from the Trident scenario. Is there anything bad about that?

Hi everyone.I have a question for Matei. Im intrested in what you mentioned about having a rogue file mess with the cpn loading.I've stripped down everything to a handful of files moved them out and reinstaled both disks, vinilla and chocolate. Now the first cpn file I wrote works, and I've modeld my latest cpn data file after it very carefully. What i get is a file name I've never seen before, something about chiron in the valley of the kings, then it crashes to the menue. I've done a file search for this name came up with about ten thousand hits. And I looked, didn't find it.Any help would be great, in this case I don't believe the problem is human error. It is very irritating thing to deal with. Thanks!

Hi AoMPlayer000, I tried what you said using the x-pack cpx file. I got it to make an entry for the title, and added the first scenario. The first title appears in the drop down but leads to the menu. I proceeded to butcher these files in a hundred different ways, to no avail. I thought that the fact the title and the first scenario are of the same name may be a problem, but no diff. And note: don’t try to load a cpx file without the <back round entry. My simple code for Bellerophron works perfectly I cant seem to make this problem make sense. Any further input on the prob would be appreciated.

Well, I just took the cpx file and saved it with a new name. Then I deleted the parts I didn't need, like unnecessary backgrounds (in my case for example the Norselands). I just wrote my scenario names and file names in the existing ones and deleted the rest of the scenarios. Those little pictures, blue and red points on the menue map were added by typing in their names (which you can look up in the maincampaign.cpn, for instance).

Ya I did that too. I think I give up. theres something not right about the problem. I think I'm having a software conflict, which is beyond my faculties. thanks anyways.

That's strange. Sure you haven't misspelled anything?
