My triggers don't work . I only have 4 triggers and already they don't seem to work. I have read this tread but none of this works. These are my triggers:

3 groops

Groop 1
No triggers

Groop 2
3 triggers

- active
name: trigger_268
condition: army distance to point
effect: army move

- active
name: trigger_269
condition: army distance to unit
effect: fade to color
fire event=trigger_270

- nothing
name: trigger_270
condition: timer ms
effect: set lighting=alfheim

Groop 3
1 trigger

- active+run inmidilitie(or something like that )
name: trigger_271
condition: always
effect: set tech status=stone wall for player 3

Firstly, I'd like to warn you that you shouldn't forget to FADE BACK to the normal graphics agains. (Fade to color-->[Off])

Secondly, I'd like to advise you to put a 'send chat' effect in each trigger, saying 'trigger ..... works' (..... = name of the trigger). This way you cna playtest and check which triggers work and which dont.

Thirdly, check if you've assigned the proper units to the proper armies.

Finally, check every trigger on weird characters (" for sure isn't a legal character in AoM, and there are others which I've forgotten). Remove them.
Good luck

" is a legal character in AoM, as long as it matches the trigger script :P.

A condition is not a trigger.
An effect is not a trigger.
A trigger is a combination of one or more conditions and effects.
It causes effects to happen if and when conditions are met.

Is the active box ticked for the triggers? If not, they will not work. Look carefully at the conditions and make sure the game is actually achieving the conditions. The distance to point triggers are tricky since you have to specify a parameter such as <,>, ==. If you put the == in it means the units must be exactly in the spot you specify. Use the <= and use a generous amount such as say 3 - 4 tiles distance from point, and make the trigger "high priority".

Another bit of advise, rename your triggers as you go. Leaving the default name is too confusing, especially once your trigger list gets long. I mean, what is Trigger_214??? When you click insert on the trigger tool, just place your cursor in the trigger name box, backspace or delete, type in a new trigger name, and hit enter.
