Skycat has the right idea. It's a simple thing, use this trigger:
Trigger: XXX
Condition: XXX
Effect: Objective
Mission: 1
ID : 1
If you have more than one objective in the scenario, copy the above trigger and change the ID to 2, 3, etc, numbering according to the objectives you have created.
To flash the banner (to bring attention to it) add this effect to the group:
Trigger: XXX
Condition: XXX
Effect: Flash UI
Name: objectivesBanner-interior (type this in exactly as it's written)
I also like to accompany the objectives with a sound so add a sound effect (play dialogue) to this group and there you have it.
