Basically I had a problem with the sound installation procedure as detailed in your install notes. The instructions read:
Quote:
"..and (put) the .mp3 and .wav files in the ...Age of Mythology/sound folder."
I am assuming- probably rightly- you mean the c/program files/MS Games/AOM/Sound folder.
XP gave me no end of grief with this particular music install. For example, once I put the mp3s in the sound folder as instructed, and opened the folder with XP (My Computer window), the files didn't show up there. Trigger: Intro1 Seeing no other conditions to fire this trigger, this means that there should be some custom music playing at the start of The Destiny of Moria scenario. This song did not play for me. As an experiment I moved the sound file moria.mp3 to the c/program files/MS Games/AOM/Sound/music/culture folder. While I know it can actually go in any sub folder, bear with me. Then I changed your trigger to: Trigger: Intro1 When I playtested, custom music at 0 seconds (during the cine) into the scenario started playing! Sounded good too, the tympani drums are awesome! When making the changes I couldn't simply click and hit open in the editor for some reason but had to manually type in the file name and location- I just chalk that up to normal editor gheyness. So, either my AOM/XP is acting up (which wouldn't surprise me), or you must put your music in sub-folders and not just into the "sound" folder. I think the Sound File Name box must contain a subfolder, a subfolder, then the music file name. Opinions? I am assuming with your original sound install that you could hear the music when you built/tested your campaign? But then why didn't it play for me? Auron, did it play for you with the original install? And before some of you start chanting newb and thinking about banishing me to the FAQ and Library, I have DLed campaigns before with no problems.
