I was wondering a few things about the editor in AOM. I was setting a trigger and it asks you to pick a target, could I set it to use any unit of x player? How can I use a variable to set a value for a unit stat, it seems like all it would allow me to do was set a static value (ie. numeric)? Is there any function variables I can use for my editor (ie. Can I type a name that AOM will interpret as a unit being attacked or killed)?

I don't get what you mean... Have you tried out the Quest Variables (simple and very powerful variables) of the AoM X-pack (perhaps + oddy's advanced QV triggers)?

Thank you sorry for not splitting up the questions. I'm in modify prototype and in the delta field it won't let me entet any alpha characters. Unless I'm missing something how can I enter in a variable name w/no characters allowed? Is this something I need to add with a mod or something?

Thanx for the reply but the script didn't work for me. I pasted it in \triger\typetest.xml before the closing trigger brackets. Maybe I did it wrong. I didn't know you could use xml with AOM. I was wondering is there a guide on how to do this with AOM? How a trigger is exactly written I mean?

I tried the cut and paste on the variable name then I tried adding the tr in front of it (thought maybe it was a way of referencing the variable value) and neither worked. It didn't execute any of the code in the timer event. However a numeric value ran no problem with everything else. I'll edit the script oddy wrote and hopefully that will work. Thanx for the help.
