Hello everyone,

I have AoM for quite a long time and I like it a lot to make a lot of Scenario's by myself. But there are a few things that I don't understand. I want to make some Cinematics, so you see a little movie before the game starts, but I don't know how to use the cinematic program in the Editor. Does anybody has a very good simple explanation how to work with the Cinematics?

And something else: How can I create effects such as snow that is falling from the air. Because I tried to do that by placing "Snowfall", but it doesn't work. Does anybody has an explonation for it?

1st: check FAQ (you can choose from a wide variety of sub-FAQ's and guides in my signature).

2nd: Use the effect Render Snow to, err... yes, well, render the snow.

A condition is not a trigger.
An effect is not a trigger.
A trigger is a combination of one or more conditions and effects.
It causes effects to happen if and when conditions are met.
Period.

Okay, sorry, I'm new here, so I made this topic without looking if there already was a topic about it, so I won't do that anymore.

I already searched in that FAQ, but couldn't find it. But I'll try again. About those effects, do i have to open Cinematics or something to put in this snow effect?

I'm trying now with it and I'm getting better used to it, a bit difficult, especially the triggers are difficult for me. I also found how to put snow in it. Thanks that you don't be very angry that a newbie like me is just creating stupid topics, on other forums they mostley are very angry when that happens.

yes, you are very nice for newbies here.

Sorry for that triple post, I couldn't find the edit option here, but now I've found it. I'm now a bit better in making cinematics, but I can't get used to the trigger system. It's quite difficult for me how to let a cinematic start and how to stop and how to put text in it.

And how can I zoom in? because most cinematics are made when zoomed in, how can I do that?

To all of you who helped me:

thank you very much! I have made my own cinematic and it's going very well!

I also now know how to zoom in etc. But how can you change the camera view? instead of a birdeyesview a normal view from beside?

Gorbag, you have to make your own camera views. Just use the CTRL ALT C as noted above and try zooming in and out and tilting the pitch until you get the right angle.

If it gets too laggy and stuck, remember pressing CTRL ALT C again will bring it back to normal.

thanks, two last questions, 1 I've also found how to put music in it: default + music play, then you will here each cultures music depending on which culture you are, I also have the Xpack, but if I have a level with the atlanteans in it and use the music there it won't use the Atlantean music. Even not if i select to play it (xpack -> music -> hotatlantean). Does anybody has a solution for this?

2 How can I put text into a cinematic? because in the campaing you see a lot of text in it, how can you put this in the cinematic?

Hmm... gorbac orc, I'd advise you to get totally used to the triggers before you even touch the cinematics.

An effect is not a trigger.
A trigger is a combination of one or more conditions and effects.
It causes effects to happen if and when conditions are met.

Dutch people seem to be famous on internet, on the forums of www.me-mw.comis also almost 60% from Holland.

Thanks, I can now do Everything with the cinematics I want, I've also figured out how to handle it with the music with the atlanteans and how to put in text. I'm now making very beautiful cinematics, thanks to everyone!
