Actually, thats yet again your opinion. Setna may not be an outstanding scenario. But you do know that not even The_Bard could found a single bug in the entire scenario. I did add a story to it, and some cool features which you didnt bother to count, such as being able to play in different camera angles, 2 sound tracks, ambient sounds, difficulty levels, and other.
Even if a day/night cycle is easy to create, it still counts as some creativity. and you also know that thats not the only feature i included.
I don't think its fair that you accuse me of giving you 'bad' reviews for 'revenge'. Do I agree with your Birthright review? Even if I don't, it stays because its long, comprehensive and it really tells me alot about my scenario. Whether I like it or not doesn't matter. You can't just accept some reviews and not accept the others.
The things that tell me you are doing this by revenge or just to get me angry is:
1 i reviewed birthright 12/19/04 @ 09:45 PM
~ you review hyrule 12/20/04 @ 07:45 AM
~ then you review setna 12/20/04 @ 08:05 AM
2). all those points that you mention on your two reviews are basicly made out from 10 minutes of playing. Have you even got to finish the last mission of setna? have you even played Hyrule online?
for one, it takes about 40+ minutes to get through setna from beginning to end, and you only commented on basic things which were already told or were stuff that happened in the beginning.
two, In hyrule you say that because the scenario plays as supremacy game is unoriginal and has poor playability, when i added 4 different ways of playing, lighting, deathmatch, handicap, and normal mode. You also took alot of points off for the map design, when it has different grass textures, effects, eyecandy, and it looks exactly as the original game, including some accurate places.
It is awkward that you give me low on playability just because you dont like supremacy games. and what is more weird is that you gave Wonder wars a 5 on playability when is almost the same ztyle of game. Same with the world map of cheezy, you gave it a 4 on playability and is the same style as hyrule, migrate and build a towncenter.
frankly, this is the first time i see a person who didnt liked my scneario at all. Its been spotlighted at aomfiles.com, and even the guys at mrfixonline put it on the news. I've play it online and people say is fun, and i have also got other complements from this scenario.
you took off points for story just because you thought "find and build a towncenter" wasnt specific enough, when i exactly included hints and messages.
you took tons of points off of creativity just because it plays as a random map. Have you consider all the randomize objects, features i included? even the fact that it looks exactly as the original map?
Also for Setna you take alot of points off because it relates ES's campaign scenario and because you think the first objective isnt detailed enough. "Seek SoO" isnt really hard and i know you know that. I even included hints. Did you even tried doing the first objective?
According to you Balance is a 4 on setna. you say that its too hard when i exactly arranged difficulty levels. In easy you get 2 restoration powers and over 10 units. If you play it in a different level you will get less units and different godpowers, as well as more/less enemies. If you only play it once and loose that doesnt mean the scenario is hard.
Also, for hyrule you say that balance is pretty fair and deserves a 4. However, the balance is perfect, all players have the same opportunity to migrate and build a towncenter, has the same amount of units, no starting godpowers, and all players start in the same place.
Also, you complained that is too hard to find a towncenter, but thats the whole point of it. You are suppose to search for a towncenter. You have to realize that you get 2 atlanteans villagers which have over 120 of energy plus a scouting unit, plus you get over 2 minutes to find one towncenter, which isnt hard since there are over 21 settlements. also, you say that the intro cinematic is horrible. And i said this thousands of times, the intro cinematic is meant for all the quest var variables, and triggers to load, which sometimes takes over 15 seconds if you play online.
Quote:
NO. I took off points because of the horrible cinematics, the dialogue mistakes and the bland map design. This is not a 4.0 and up scenario. Besides that, the story was so unimaginitive (go find SoO) that you really had to suffer for that.
hmm you say the cinematics are horrible. I dont see how they are frankly. There is only one camera track, and basicly the dialoh between setna and the pharaoh which i intentionally made it so you cant see it and i explained this before. The spelling mistakes; i really didnt see none, i'll check the scenario carefully and see these spelling mistakes. finding OoS is the first objective and not the whole story. If you do want to know the whole story then you should had read the spotlight window story. Also, you ask who are each character, and i exactly explained the story in depth on the read me. If you didnt bothered to read it, then thats your fault.
Whether you think hyrule and setna and worhty of a 3.0 doesnt make it a true fact, and you shouldnt stick so much to your personal opinions when reviewing.
I suggest you play the scenario from beginning to end, then create such statements. and actually, my review to birthright is good and i dont think there is nothing to complain about. for one, i played the scneario from beginning to end, did every single mission, analized triggers, cinematics, and story fairly, and even read the objectives.
I'm sure more alot of people would agree with what i just said. Also, you should play felix's scenario from beginning to end. It isnt fair that you give it alow score just becuase you thought it was boring, and just played during 20 minutes.
