I copied HadesCliff terrain to another part of a map. Amazingly, units can be placed on that terrain without getting the red highlight.

UNITS CAN ALSO WALK UP AND DOWN ON THE CLIFF.

I used the terrain tool and right-clicked the terrain. Then I painted with it.

UNITS DIDN'T WALK UP THIS TERRAIN.

Very odd.

Here's a video for proof: Copy Terrain Bug.wmv

I have no idea what you're talking about, but HadesCliff terrain isn't walkable. I also tried copying it, and naturally that had no impact on that fact. I suggest that you've made a mistake somewhere in your testing, possibly putting down the wrong terrain to test.

If you used the cliff tool, for example, the Hades Cliff does NOT only use HadesCliff terrain.

Nope, I did exactly as posted. I even made sure the original was "unwalkable".

Using Terrain Copy (feature under Edit), it somehow became walkable.

I'll try to upload a FRAPS video clip if it helps...

Ok, pftq's main hobby is to click at every little thing in the editor.

LOL I just come across this when I was copying a section of the map to another area.

Anyways, here's a movie file as proof: Copy Terrain Bug.wmv

Quoted from FD2:

That description fits him exactly.
EDIT: removed.

pftq,

This only works in editor mode.

Similarly to the case with giving the Hydra 5 heads -- it only shows up in the editor.

As soon as the scenario is playtested, the Cliff Terrains can no longer be walked over.

Can't get the movie to work or duplicate your results, so I can't confirm or deny this.

Maybe it's because he has an editor mod?

Well only mod I have is Reyks which I doubt does this.

@Alexander: You're probably right. But it might come in handy somehow - ie easier unit placing in the editor.

The link works now.

Too bad this doesn't work -- otherwise, it could be used for cool tricks such as having units jumping off cliffs.

Well, I guess I just have to remove it from the list then.

I tried it with the hades lava terrain and it worked for me... so i dunno why it works for some and doesn't for others

I think now it might just be a temporary glitch. Like the PC forgets to add the stat with the copied terrain. But when you reload the scenario, it remembers to do so.
