You could just use the after event firer attached to the camera track effect, saves the use of fire event, and timer, and looking to see how long the track is... like this...
Trigger1: Active, Run Immediately
Condition: Always
Effects:
Set Cinematic Mode: ON
Move to Point: Set the unit and select a point on the map.
Camera Track: Make a camera track that would follow the path of the unit.

Trigger 2: Not active
Condition: Always
Effect: Cinematic Mode: OFF

You don't have to make an animation for this, AOM does it automatically. Just use Move to point.
