How about a family protecting a powerful sword. Some evil comes and splits the sword in 9 pieces, but the father kills the evil with his own soul, so the two brothers set off to collect the pieces of the sword seperately. At one point, the brother that you ahve been controling finds out that the other brother has been using his collected swords for evil. In the end, a fight erupts. The bad brother stole your 5 swords and added them to his 4, but before he could do that, one of the swords flies back to the good brother, and another one as well. The swords are rejecting the brother's evil, but the remaining 7 fused to create an imcomplete sword. The good brother faces off against the evil one with his two shards, and has to find the courage within to defeat his brother.

Campaigns are a series of scenarios and are very difficult and time consuming to make. Why don't you start with a simple scenario to perfect your skills?
IDEA: a band of heroes goes on a quest around the map, to retrieve various relics from guarded locations. This is my latest scenario type I've been working on for the past 4 months now.
You can draw further ideas, from books and films that you found intriguing.
