**********THE PATCH IS NOW OUT!!**********

DOWNLOAD NOW!

The time has come. At long last the greatest fantasy saga ever created has made it's arrival on the Age of Mythology engine. We, the modders and mappers of Liquid Fire Studios are proud to present the highly anticipated first part of Lord of the Rings: Legends of the Third Age, The Fellowship of the Ring.

In this long-awaited campaign, the player follows the adventures of the nine members of the Fellowship in their quest to destroy the One Ring. The scenarios are made to the highest quality by some of the best designers in the community, and will lead the player from the sweeping rural hills of the Shire to the deepest depths of Moria to the wooded ruins of Amon Hen. Complex map design and amazing eye candy will keep gamers coming back simply to watch the brilliantly created cinematics. Even more fantastic is the completely original soundtrack created by a true genius at his craft. From Rivendel to Mordor, Legends of the Third Age: The Fellowship of the Ring brings Middle-Earth alive like never before.

Aside from the excellent scenarios, The Fellowship of the Ring boasts what may be the largest and most expansive modpack in Age of Mythology history. Each weapon is authentic, and gamers will feel the fires of the Balrog and hear the crack of Gimli's axe. Each face of each hero is authentic and detailed, as is every structure in the many exotic Middle-Earth locales. The mods were made by legends in the Age of Mythology community, and the quality does show.

Without anything farther, we would like to thank you, the community, for your support and patience with this project. We are confident that you will enjoy it, as all of our work is directed at you alone. Thank you.

Incidentally, we're currently putting our heads together to produce a patch, so any possible ideas for improvement would be appreciated

From what I've seen it's great work, congrats you guys.
Sorry I can't install cause I'm into playing online right now and that would screw up my folders, but your game is great, in fact it's like a new game altogether.

I've posted some criticisms in the Comments area. I've tried to be as frank as possible, and regardless of any criticisms, I congratulate you on completing such a big project.

^And the 3rd scen is the scen where you...

And in the 5th scen, by which I assume you mean Flight to the Ford, you can click the Statue for 2 subtle Hints. It says you have to send a chat and refers to the number of squares. (I won't say too much here. ;-))

if i remeber rightly Anastasoulis the beauty of the bar installation system they used for this project is that it won't affect your multiplayer capability at all as it runs from a different executable, it basically a different game...

    @Nausicaa:

As I found when I installed this, I was able to run the modifyed version of the game (LTA.exe) WITHOUT the disc, and I experienced no problems whilst playing. So, you don't need your titans disc to play this.

Great Job to all the designers and modders involved.

    It's playable without the disk?

I wasn't aware of that. Maybe Ykkrosh did that (on purpose or accidentally) when making the Bar Loader.

Does running the original aomx.exe work without the disk?

To those who have had Initialization Error problems: We have identified a possible culprit for the errors that some people are experiencing. We will be sure to fix this in the patch.

Doesn't matter! I cheated by looking at the triggers plus, there's a bug in the map on number 4, not 3. There's a bit were I can just walk onto a blank bit.

Other than that, I completed it now and it was fantasic! I can't wait for the next one!

Yeah....I know its peoples opinions, but 2.8 is a little too low considering the work we've been putting into it.

Oh well. Thats life. Maybe one day people will better appreciate our hard work

There are several reasons we are getting low reviews. And I am going to say this despite any objections anyone may have.

    1) People have become WAY too spoiled by AoM design. They don't realize that the stuff-of-quality me, Vandhall, and Oscar create (AKA single-player scenarios that have a huge map size, lots of eye candy, tons of quests, triggerwork, etc...) take ALOT of time. People do not realize that a campaign of this magnitude done by this many people cannot afford to spend too much time on a single scenario.

    2) AD's level of involvement with reviewing this project is particularily suspicious. I expect cries of innocence right now. I don't think they change the fact.

    3) Several people are unable to form their own opinions, and instead read other comments/reviews and base it upon that.

I know my 2.8 review might not have pleased you. But, I was just speaking the truth. If you'd have put it in the modding section of the download section (as you yourself said it was based on mods), it would have scored a 4.0 at least from me, but I was judging by the fact that you put it in Campaigns, that you wanted reviews on that. The standards of scenarios rise, and the gamers go with it. High reviews are only granted to scenarios that appeal highly to the players of this modern age.
