angryzor I correct I am afraid. I use a SIMULAR method using 2 quest vars. Where I set one to te kill count and a target one. You need 1 trigger to set the var 2 to value 1, 1 looping trigger to set QV1 to kill count and 1 looping trigger to make it work. The triggers are below:
(1)Trigger - run immediately, high priority
Condition - Always
Effect - Quest Var set: QV2 = 1
(2)Trigger - loop, high priority
Condition - Always
Effect - QV set stat value: QV1 = enemy units killed
(3)Trigger - loop, high priority
Condition - Quest var compare: QV1 >= QV2
Effect - Quest Var modify: QV2 + 1
Effect - Grant resources: + 1 gold
I think you may understand this alot better. It is good to put >= and not == incase you get 2 kills exactly the same time.
This also works for leveling up too!
