You can't resize units without the Titans, but you can buy pretty cheap copies of the Titans these days if you want to that badly. I'm pretty sure nottud or someone else has a way around, but it involves editing the unit files or something.
I might as well make a sig like everyone else.

To edit unit sizes on non expansion os hard but not impossible.
You need to download AOMED and use it to extract the the scenario. Editting unit file must be anabled in advanced unit options. Then open the text file created called z1 and edit the scaling of the units. Then recreate the scenario file with AOMED and you should hopefully have big units.
Warning though. It is known that the z1 file can get corrupted and will cause the scenario when remade to not load. There is a download on AOMH which fixes this file. It was uploaded by inventoor fairly recently.
However - this is VERY ADVANCED!
Actually though I did think of another way though not tried it yet but it would involve changin game files to do it. Basically the other way would be to use god powers to create large units and then editting some game files to allow transforming the edit into any unit you like but a big one. I have not attempted this and therefore may be impossible but could be a good way for none expansion people to make big units that extracting and recreating scenarios. Pahaps I should look into it. However I have only managed to make larger than normal units this method though you can create some pretty big ones!

Although I have no actual experience of doing that, I'd assume this:
Z1_0s_scale: 1 1 1
Would be the one you're looking for. 1 would probably be standard scale, and you could change the size by reducing it to decimals to make it smaller, or by increasing the number to make it bigger.
Quoted from Kora: Although I have no actual experience of doing that, I'd assume this:
You'd assume however that is not quite correct.
You first need to fix the z1.txt file before changing the scale. To do that you need to download this which was made by TOS. Once you have, open TOS_FixZ1.vbs file, and place there the folder where you've extracted the map to. Only now you can change the scale! The 1 1 1 are the X Y Z axis, respectively.
Once you have edited everything, go back to AoMEd and use Write Data File.
Now, to know the object you are editing, you need to open the map with the Editor, select the unit you want, and click on Objects > Object Info. Now just take a look at the unit ID, and search that in your z1.txt file. -invent00r

cant you just download the golden gift? I thought that had the ability to increase/decrease unit size (because of the battle boar)

Nope, I'm pretty sure that boar was bigged the same way AomEd can big things.
