Program is up for download.

It doesn't look pretty, but it was meant to be simple.

First Names
Shadow
Line
Bird
Night
Underworld

Last Names
Runner
Hunter
Stalker
Slayer
Warrior

Now just randomly pick one from first name and one from last name... SHADOW RUNNER. UNDERWORLD HUNTER. NIGHT SLAYER. See? They're silly.

Need some more names? I was thinking of making a map a while ago with a random name generator for characters... So, when I was gonna make that, I thought of a crapload of names. It'll take me a while, but I bet I can remember like 100 of them :P

Oboe's idea of looking at the Hirsir's names is good, but depending on what the hero for this scenario will be (greek origin, etc.) they might not be such good names.

I'm not good at coming up with names either, but I'll surf the net for some sort of list.

2. Nothing is impossible.
3. There are always exceptions.

I know it's not really following the format for first and last names, but I'm just copying and pasting these names from somewhere else.

They're real names from the ancient period, and some of them are already in AOM but I'll delete those ones.

Actaeon
Admetus
Aemilius Paullus
Aeschylus
Agesilaus
Agis
Agrippina the Elder
Agrippina the Younger
Alcaeus
Alcestis
Alcibiades
Alexander the Great
Andromache
Arius
Artaxerxes
Aspasia of Miletus
Attila

Hmm..... I just realized I only went through the A's.....

Here's a link to the website - if you like the names then you can go through the alphabet.

This link goes to ancient names, which may or may not be suited for your scenario
This link goes to the website with a list of lists - there's a bunch of different sections (e.g Ancient names, Medievil names, etc.)

1. Perfection is impossible.
2. Nothing is impossible.
3. There are always exceptions.

I don't need names now, I am making the program so it makes up names. In fact, I have already uploaded it, I am just waiting for it to be approved.

That's good that you've got the names you need, Jack, but in case anyone else needs help coming up with names, here is a link to a Character Name Generator for Dungeons & Dragons that might be useful.

'How do you spell it?'
'...A....c...phlegm....'
Anyway... I tend to only have passing difficulty with names. I created a mess of them for The Amnesiac. For the villagers in Turcots' village, and for the women in Peourana's city. And you're free to use them.
If you just want names I might be able to scratch up a few that sound good. But it seems that you're done with your program, and I have no idea why you're asking.

Te'artas
Gresam
Cahbveas (This sounds like it's Gaelic)
Lertupos
Palarapos
Paritimines
Haripos
Gorbojh
Waraites
Kofunois (Co-foo-noee)
I could go on...

I played another game once where there was a syllable based naming system, where I'm pretty sure there was a database of syllables, and it just randomly stitched them together and called them names. Some of them were good, some of them were a hoot, but most were fairly unintelligible.

So, what you're trying to do is something like this, but with Norse, Egyptian, and Atlantean names aswell? Well, those are all greek mythology names. I just put that together in like one minute, somone else made the actual generator, though. I don't know where the full list can be found, but there's info here:

Well the question is: is your name generator for any fantasy Dungeons and Dragons like names? If yes then unfortunatly your name generator is pretty useless as there are very good ones you can google, in which you enter your race and class it gives nice fitting names.

If however, your generator can give names from different nations such as Greece, Egypt or Scandinavia, then if you want names go on wikipedia and type something like list of greek names and list of egyptian names.
