If we could figure out how to do this, it would be amazing. I would go ahead and help if you're interested. However, I see 4 problems:
1. There aren't that many triggers that accomodate (did I spell that right?) online use, and although people can make online versions, they usually cause OoS. For example, Unit Selected by Player to talk to an NPC.
2. Lag would be a major issue. Unless it's made with very few features, there's always a noob with a horrible connection somewhere and it'll make the lag that much worse.
3. Saving could be a problem, because since AoM isn't an MMORPG platform, you can't just start it up and play. You'd have to start over every time.
4. As far as I know, AoM only allows 12 players, not nearly at an MMORPG standard. An online RPG, yes, MMORPG, no.
Now don't get me wrong; I LOVE the idea. If you could overcome the OoS issue, it would make the online RPG theory much more feasible. In fact, an online RPG or sandbox game I've dreamt of often, from wishing a TES3: Morrowind online game to playing Assassin's Creed with my bro.
Current scenarios working on:
104th SOAP, Plants vs. Zombies (paused), Sovothym RPG
Scenario guarantee: I will NEVER include foul language in my games. AoM is a T rated game, for violence. Let's keep it that way.
