Well, you know, in default editor it doesn't let you render sky in the editor. You have to playtest scenario or just launch it in order for the sky to be rendered. That kind of thing.
Not a trouble with the editor mod.
Edit:
Pfff... actually, that was a lot of troubles. Maybe because I'm on 2.6.0, the lastest version seems to be 2.8.0, but either way, here are some things I've stumbled upon, maybe it will help someone.
1)Editor mod actually only somewhat works. It will not actually render sky on its own. You need to make your own Render Sky trigger, then the command in the editor will work. Regardless of which sky you will choose in the drop down menu, it will instead render the sky that you've punched in into your trigger.
2)Seems like it will activate all other triggers as well.
3)The old sky pack by Stephen Caines doesn't work with EE (well, I should've figured it out from the start).
4)I've only managed to make skies work by replacing one of the existing .ddt files with the new ones. Placing entirely new .ddt files and then hijacking the .brg didn't work for whatever reason. I did not try too much on this one, I might've actually made a mistake or whatever. I do not quite care at this point, I've suffered enough for a couple of screenshots. I'll just replace the blue sky.
I'll also update my game, just out of curiosity...
Edit2: yea, updating the game solved nothing, but whatevs. I've got what I've needed. Thanks to everyone for the help and for the tons of tools and tutorials that allowed me to dig through this horror of endeavour with relative ease.
Edit3: one more weird thing. After loading the savegame with modded editor, Gaian units stop moving. Like, at all. Looks like Gaia loses her AI or something. Wonder if it can be fixed anyhow.
And one last question, to top it off. I assume there's no hotkey to hide the toolbar in the editor mod?
