Hi it's been a long time since I made a post here.
I have been trying to create a Necromancer Civilization, using triggers.[I did something like this with Medjay Mercenaries a couple of years back, and successfully removed their lifespan] But this one is harder, and I need help with the some of the triggers.
EXPLANATION:
As most players know, Generic corpse is the name of the corpse, dead units leave behind.
I have been experimenting with the Nottud's transform trigger for a couple of days now. I managed to turn Generic Corpse into a flower, Soul, Scarab Blood, but I can't turn it into anything alive.
I checked the data files for the Generic Corpse, and the notAlive, flag caught my eye. I don't want to play around with the Data files too much, so I wanted to ask for help here first.
This will be a Necromancy themed scenario. The active player will start with one necromancer, and every killed unit will turn into a minion in the necromancer's army. If the dead unit is a hero, it's soul will turn into a shade.[I had more luck with the Shade since Hero Death is not a dead unit.
THE PART I NEED HELP WITH:
The way I plan the triggers it should work like this:
Every dead Unit leaves a generic corpse behind.
This generic corpse is immediately transformed into a minion.
I am stuck at this stage. The minion needs to be active, and join the 1st player.
So I managed to turn the Generic corpse into a unit, but for the most part it is impossible to select it. And If I pick a special hero or an Automaton I can select them, but it is still impossible to revive or convert them.[Gaia Automaton's don't fix each other]
I was thinking about directly changing damaged units into minions but that's not going to work either. Because it's a lot of work to select every single unit, and copy that trigger.
When I try to use a god power on the unit, the game recognizes them as a dead unit. But I just can't bring them back to life.
I have been working on this for days now, so any advice is quite welcome.
