Hello, if anyone is out there still I could really use some help. I’m very new to modding this old game. What id like to learn is how to edit the AI to play a scenario that I’ve edited like the random maps on single player. I understand the basics, giving them the default ai in player info(I would love to know why the only working ai is aomdefaultai.xs)
However my map is a water map, so all the ai will do is a little erratic building and will attack on land. They will not build docks, and they will not use ships or fishing boats at all. Playing on an island becomes boring very quickly.
I read in an old thread on here that I need to edit: aomEmapspecific.xs under the line: int transport = kbTechTreeGetUnitIDTypeByFunctionIndex(cUnitFunctionWaterTransport, 0);
Unfortunately I cannot find these files to begin editing them. Have file names changed or is there a new way to fix my issue? How do I make my map function like a water map.
