I was right!!

The intro in the alpha, and that .scn file proves that it was a scenario. And that leads me to think that the editor itself was hidden inside the alpha (EO )

The intro screenie -

We can make clouds in the game!

But doesn't that look a little complex? This is a little different than AoK's (and looks a little worse too)

Cinematics is in it's own menu, so that will be easier on organization and getting to know how to use it effectively.

I like the "Grouping" Trigger option, good for organizational sakes.

But other than a few subtle differences, I don't think that it designed in an ENTIRELY new format. They are quite a few parallels between this editor and that of AOK.

EO's found so mutch stuff in the alpha you won't evan believe him.

You can owe the discovery of an Atlantis random map and about 30 others to me (can't play em though)

Well, judging by that screenshot, the trigger system looks a lot less like the AoK-style system and a lot more like the system that was implimented in Empire Earth... which is a very good thing, if you ask me.

True, Empire Earth's system was a bit harder to learn, but once you got the hang of it you were able to utilize what is my opinion the most powerful trigger system ever invented. It was a huge time-saver, once you knew what you were doing.

Of course, all this is pure speculation, and I don't know for sure what the trigger system shall be like in AoM. However, judging from that screenshot, I think we are in for a large change from that of AoK. I can't wait to see what ES has up their sleeves for us

Well I would be interested in the things that EO found, too. I looked into some of the AoM-Files in the Alpha myself, and I think, I found for example how you can adjust the zoomout or even perhaps get into the editor (haven't tried it).

I think the editor's user interface is not finished at this stage. No way ES is going to release a game with gray misaligned boxes for controls.

Great observation with the clouds. It will be cool to have them in a scenario! Maybe we can control fog also for truly fantastic effects. I'm pretty sure we can set lights already .

I think EO had the closed alpha and that's where he saw the editor.
