Darknight HTML isnt on here.
Maybe there are different sized farms in the editor and you placed them together andput one villie on each(this one is not likely)
Or maybe you can change the way villies look and you set them to the farming look?(likely)
What I just said is a lie.

I thought you'd get the hint but i guess not
I did the same thing to make the farm trick as i did to make these.
The possibilitys are 30 times more endless than they were in AOK
Thanks to Kumar's discovery of getting naval units on land. That led me to poke around the editor, which lead me to discovering (2) new ways of getting land units on water and vice versa, which then lead me to the rediscovery of the scheme resposible for all the above pics. I did the same thing for each of them, the different units is the only different variable
Go on, try to recreate those buildings.
just try...
perhaps then the title of this topic comes to mind.
@ toxic: Theres only 1 farm (that i know of) in the editor, and you'll need triggers to resize them. And evan if you did makde 7 small ones, how would you get 7 farms into a perfect square, and make it look exactly the same as a normal farm? Wouldn't resizing them just make 7 tiny farms, fitted like tiles into a square?

Hehe, we should probably stop calling it Map Copy , but we're all used to calling overlapped buildings (for example) a map copied building
heres a clipping from the AOM Overlapping buildings article that i'm writing now (it should be up on DGDN in a few days)
Quote:
The "map copy" feature in Age of Kings is probably what made Age of King's scenario editor so popular.
Originally, the purpose of map copy is to select an area on the map, and copy it. Then you can paste that exact same area in a different spot. This was a feature that saved time when designing large maps. Later on though, someone did map copy on a building, and he pasted the selected building into another building. Thus the 2 buildings are now overlapping eachother. With some creativity and patients in the editor, you could create "new buildings" by pasting existing buildings together so they overlapped eachother. Later on it was also discovered that you can paste units "onto" buildings as well. A classic peice was a Cathedral with monks pasted into the gardens.
Age of Mythology though, is a 3 Dimensional Game. Overlapping 2 separate units on the map may crash the game because that is not allowed in the Game's engine. Many people believed that "map copy" would not be possible, due to the leap into the 3rd dimension and the game's technical and programming standpoint.
There are, however, these screenshots to ponder over
[/i]
And then i list a bunch of screenshots to show everyone that overlapping buildings is indeed possible.
There goes a very interesting story to how i discovered this priceless trick. You'll have to wait till the article is done to read it.
Once again, you do the same thing you do to overlap buildings as you do to get units on/off water/land. Kumar Shah's way of getting boats on land is to "paint land" over it, which works but it's rather shaky and you can screw up.
An easier version of what he's doing is to do Eye Drop elevation, which will do the same thing accept keep all the elevation in order and not get it all jagged.
My other way though, is simply point and click, and you have a ship thats out of the water.
Theres an article coming on that as well
So you see toxic, i did differently than shah's way.
You will all be terribly surprised at how easy it is to do both tricks.
When i first tried it I was surprised as hell that it worked... and then i realized what a big find this is.
Terrain Copy and Unit copy don't do the trick. Terrain Copy just copies the underlying terrain. and the unit copy in the beta doesn't seem to work. Perhaps in the retail you can do "map copy" with unit copy and get the same results. But my way however, is simply point and click, just like I said.
Cheezy I dont know whether u did the same thing or not...but i got ur farm trick
and its simple too
Want me to spoil it or wait for ur article

It only works in-editor...might be possible for in-game with triggers

Quoted from Kumar:
do i have a life??
Do I really have to answer that?
"Especially awe-inspiring is the fact that any single brain is made up of atoms that were forged in the hearts of countless stars billions of years ago... These atoms now form a conglomerate – your brain – that can not only ponder the very stars that gave it birth but can also think about its own ability to think and wonder about its own ability to wonder. With the arrival of humans…the universe has suddenly become conscious of itself. This, truly, is the greatest mystery of all." - Rama

I think that healing spring in the center of a small-sized circular pond would be perfect eyecandy for a garden.
