No what I meant was, when creating a scenario it's switching between day and night. Fx. every 5th minute the wheather is changing between day and night...
How do I do that??

Simple really. Check your effects listing, you will notice there is a trigger with a name familar or relative to "Set Lighting". It allows you to choose which lighting you would like to change to. It also gives you the option of determining the amount of time it will take for the light to change.

So in other words, you really only need four differant lightings for this. One is Night, Dawn, Dusk and Default which is basically noon.

So, lets say we want to start at exactly midnight. And, we want the entire cycle from Night to Night again to last, 24 mins. Which is reasonable.

Have the lighting set on Night, and have a trigger change the lighting from Night to Dawn for a time of 6 mins. Or, 360 seconds.

After that time has elasped, have another trigger change the lighting from Dawn to Default. Same time amount.

Move from that to Dusk, then to night once again.

i actually did this on my map already... and the way i did it was to make like 100 triggers, to keep the night->day cycle going...

could this be looped instead?

im not real clear on the whole loop thing, when time is involved

Took me a while to count all this through, and to have this change it took me 5 triggers,

for a 200 second cycle:

Trigger 1 (NO LOOP ) Cond-Timer: 50 /// EF: Day
Trigger 2 (NO LOOP ) Cond-Timer: 100 ///EF: Eve
Trigger 3 (NO LOOP ) Cond-Timer: 150 ///EF: Night
Trigger 4 (NO LOOP ) Cond-Timer: 199 ///EF: Dawn

Tr 5 (LOOP) Cond-Timer: 200 ///
EF: Fire Evt Tr1, Fire Ev Tr2, Fire Evt Tr3, Fire Evt Tr4

And also u might wanna add another 4 triggers JUST like Tr 1, 2, 3 and 4 to have change of time in the first 200 seconds as well. Oh and this is pretty much the only way to do this looping thing. (I am writing an article about this, btw)

Shad, coudl ya also please add a link to ScnNET in the FAQ? thanks.

DeKont..... thanks for the nice tip there.... it really improved the passage of time using these (much simpler) steps

I did it with 4, with 4 lightings (day night dawn dusk)

Trig 1 (Dusk):
conditions
timer: V seconds
effects
set lighting: Dusk
fire event: night
disable trigger: day

Trig 2 (Night):
conditions
timer: W seconds
effects
set lighting: night
fire event: dawn
disable trigger: dusk

Trig 3 (Dawn):
conditions
timer: Y seconds
effects
set lighting: dawn
fire event: day
desable trigger: night

Trig 4 (Day)
conditions
timer: Z seconds
effects
set lighting: default
fire event: dusk
disable trigger: dawn

there, set in an infinite loop!

this would work in theory, BUT "disable trigger: day" would PERMANENTLY disable the trigger, so that if u use FireEvent: Day nothign will happen
