As for creating new units, extract data.bar with AOMED and open up proto.xml in notepad.
Look for the unit that you based everything off of. For example, you could go find the hoplite or something.
Next, copy that whole section of code for that unit and paste it again at the very bottom. Change the name to something new, and I think (but im not sure) the unitid and the dbid also have to be unique. You can try and see what happens.
The new name should be the name of the anim file:
(if it was poop_anim.txt then the unit name should be poop)
