How would you make an exact replica of another unit?? because I would like to use KingHades's mods but I also wish to retain those units which are changed

rename the file for example if it is called lighting cloud_ami and you wanted it to replase oriss you rename it orisis_ami

If you want to replicate, understand that you won't be able to play online anymore. KindHades's rider mods just change appearance, so there isnt much point in retaining the old ones, and with changes appearance you can play online. That said:
First you need to get Ykkrosh's AOMED. I believe this is the latest version. Then you need to set the file to read from to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\data\data.bar. Then hit Read, and you should get a bunch of files. One of them is proto.xml. Right-click it, and look for something like open with, and then go find notepad. ALternatively, you could go into notepad and navigate from there.
Once you have notepad, scroll to <unit>blahblahblah</unit> thing for the unit you want to replicate. Copy and paste the whole blob to the very end. Change the ID and DBID to something else, preferably something not used by any other unit (for ID, go for above 700). Also change the name to something else, like Sphinx Rider (assuming you were doing the sphinx). When you are done, hit save. Make sure the proto.xml is in your Age of Mythology/data folder.
The last thing you have to do is find the anim file of KingHades's mod, which in this case would be something like sphinx_anim.txt. You need to change it so that is the exact same name as what you put in the proto.xml, but with _anim at the end. For example, the sphinx rider would be Sphinx Rider_anim.txt. Then put this new text file in your Age of Mythology\anim folder
