Hello to all random map players/scripters of AOM(TT)!

Since some of our random map (RM) scripters run out of ideas (including me - sometimes), I thought it would be really helpful to make a thread for it. I also think it's a good idea to make some rules for this thread:

1. If you have a map request, post your idea here. The more details the better. The RMs can be of any kind, like regular gameplay RMs, RPG RMs, sports RMs, adventure RMs, etc.

2. If a RM scripter likes an idea, he shall post it here like: "I like the idea of ... and I'll make it." So, none of the scripters get's in conflict with others when interested in the same idea.

3. If 2 or more scripters like the an idea, they should contact each other - by email or in this thread. I bet there are a million different ways to make one idea true.

4. You can also post your progress here, or a link to a screenshot or article, when working on it.

Now, have fun thinking of your favorite map and share your thoughts with us.

is it possible to make an scenario become a random map? because i always wanted my scneario hyrule nomatic to be like that.

No, sorry, it's not possible. Random maps need random parameters to place terrain and objects! But you can program an "almost" scenario to a random map. What is your scenario all about? Which terrain, which triggers?

the scneario look exactly like the map from the game the Legend of zelda a link to the past(game boy advance, 500x500 map).is almost likea random map. when you set the difficulty to different levels you will play different games like:

easy: normal nomatic mode

moderate: a mixed of deathmatch and nomatic mode. where all map is revealed, research rate increased, and start with 15000 of everything

hard: mixed nomatic lighting game. build everything fast
titan: mixed nomatic and handicap mode. infinite of everything, build everything fast, and map revealed

and i got about 160 triggers which randomizes a bunch of stuff. some animals, resources, and four changin seasons spring, summer, atumn, and winter. and when is winter, randomize amount of snow will fall. and on every season, some trees will look according to the season.
i just like to make multiplayer scenarios like normal random maps. not like RPG type. but the thing is that i dont know how to random map script. here is the link wit further info.

I did once make an attempt at a random map, but it failed, I don't usually make them. What I tried to do is a map called Crete. Basically, it's a long narrow island, with one side (south if possible) with many cliffs lining the shore. Making the north easier to build docks on, but the south is more abundant in fish. It'd have many small islands thrown in as well.
I think this map would be good.

PS. After looking at all those RM's, well, WOW!

Argalius try using Matei's rms generating program for real world maps, I have heard it was pretty good.
