Because I'm clueless on how to do these, I'd like to ask if someone could please create a new texture for Militia units -- Perhaps making them more soldier-eqsue? With a small shield and perhaps have it's torso broken into two pieces - the upper portion being brown, maybe as leather armor? Be as detailed as you want if you're excessive like that, but it would be nice to see them improved.
Another texture I'd like to see if you could give the Militia hat to my villagers? =D They'd look more...villager-esque with a broad hat to keep the sun out.
Something else I'd like to see, if it's possible -- Could someone add a texture to Temples making a second God-statue on the other side of the front? Or would that require mod-work, and therefore be unable to work online? =p

Er, right. I think I'll just pass, because I don't want to **** up my files to the point I won't be able to play any more.

@PrplPplEater - just to set things straight - you are not on commission! (but my head has swollen immensely)
@Selphir - as soon as I've tidied your bedroom, mowed the lawn and cooked your dinner, I will try and gather enough energy to do your game modding! Seriously though if you can't do it yet, just write down the idea and come back to it after a bit more practice.
To get you started the Militia unit has a lefthand attachpoint (though unfortunately not a leftforarm so a lot of the existing shields will not look good as attachments), but it could hold a small shield.
So ..
1. Look at the shield defines or a xxx shield small.
Something like
define shield
set hotspot
version
visual attachment g shield small
2. Define this in the Militia_anim and then attach it
connect LeftHand shield hotspot
on all anim versions (idle, bored, walk, attack, etc)
and see how you go.
Once you have mastered this (post a picture) we can look at the next step.
P.S. I spent ages trying to define my first new icon for a unit, so I am not trying to be a smart arse!

... and you've made me seriously contemplate a second edition! (Awesome concept).

@Selphir - of the 3,000 plus people who have read my modding guide, at least 2,990 have managed to do what you are attempting. Read it (or any one other the other great guides on this site), understand it, try something simple first, and come back in a few weeks (or whatever), when you have learnt the basics (including how to use AoMED). You are just trying things that are beyond you, and all you will end up doing is getting frustrated and giving up; and this would be a big mistake, because aom modding is such great fun!
