I've been seeing some great mods and all, but I have one question... How do you make a unit work online??? Like the Cheese Giant and stuff? Anyone?

A new unit will not owrk online unless the opposing player also has that unit. There is no way round this.

No, normally I'd agree with you, but how did the Cheese Giant work so that it works online?

An existing unit with new textures can be played online without an Out of Sync error, but still, the other players will see the default texture, while only you can see the updated ones.

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, but it's the only thing I can imagine.

The cheese Giant isn't a new unit, Its a different Texture
Meaning the frost giant just looks like a piece of cheese

Reason The Cheese Giant worked is because the data that tells the game to texture the unit differently is still under the same name as default texture name.

Example:

#1 has unit ---- different Texture but same name as default texture.

#2 has unit ---- default texture and same name as default texture.

The data is same but the graphics is different.

A new unit will not work online because the new unit's new data is not in other people's system and therefore clashes with the game, data goes haywire and connection causing OOS.
