I have been modding and playing Age of Mythology since about 2003, and I've had a project that I've been working on most of that time, on and off. Now, I have it to a point where I can say that I'm done. I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in downloading it, since I have never released any of my mods. This project is basically a pseudo civilization, and a couple campaigns that tell its story.

The Pseudo Civilization includes:

148 Units
4 New God Powers
over 55 Technologies (with varying degrees of originality)
over 40 scenarios between two campaigns (I'm pretty sure)
xpacklanguage.dll (no *** in front of names)
A tutorial campaign (to show you the ropes)
Unit Histories for all relevent units

Some of the units are completely overhauled (textures, data, models, icons, and the works). Others are not, it just depends on the unit. Here are some screenshots that you can look at, which show most of my work.

When released, it would use the BarMod, because of the massive amount of files involved

Interest: 8.5

Most of the units are just minorly retextured units from the game, nothing really spectacular. I really liked the naval units and the Rhinoceros rider was pretty sexy however

The Units look pretty cool, but the buildings aren't really that good.

Some are actually pretty good, and the sounds of the quantity of configurations, it gonna be awesome

But the buildings looks deranged...

The buildings are a little strange. The design is that there are four posts/collumns connected by a cloth. The idea behind it is that these people are used to the heat, and only need shelter at noon. Also, since the building is open, you can see what is happening inside it. At my armory, you can see a blacksmith working in a shop, there is a guy behind a counter full of food at the market, and the tribal barracks has men practicing combat. Not all of the buildings are like this, but most are. Also, it was a relatively easy model I could put together and use. The materials the buildings are made of also change, from wood to sand stone to lime stone and then to a dark colored mythological stone (explained in the history of the wall of that color). Thanks for commenting guys.

By pseudo civ do you mean that it functions the same as a civ but without god powers for later ages, or our the four god powers 1 achaic, 1 classical, 1 heroic, and 1 mythic?

Check out all of the mods I made here

you should add shadows for the buildings, it's really easy to do and it makes a big difference. I do really like those African units, especially the rhino rider. Keep on modding!

By pseudo civ I mean it isn't selectable, but plays like a normal civ. You can only access it through the editor. There is one god power per age, and since it is a monotheistic civ, there arent choices for god powers and what not.

I say post it. This mod could spark some creativity and get more people into modding. Just make a topic advertising it about a week before release to have people become aware of it. (this topic wont work because it is not called "New Pseudo Civilization" but Measuring Interest. Measuring Interest sound like some math problem lol. Anyway, post it up for download, i definately will dl it. (btw, shadows are .dcl files found in the models folder if you didnt know).

I'm probably going to post it pretty soon since a few people seemed interested.

@Bingo Little
The god powers are Draught, which destroys all enemy farms, Stampede, which calls over a dozen wild animals to your aid temporarily, Riches, which gives you resources, and Cemetary, which creates a cemetary that produces undead (similar to tartarian gate).

I have decided that I am going to release my mod, because at least a few people seemed interested. Also, this thread has a bad title, so the actual reaction may be better than the reaction to this thread.

Drought sounds pretty unbalanced.

Just wanted to comment that I for a second thought the Nubian villager was made by ES.

As far as I know the Follower, or Nubian Villager as you called it, is something that I came up with. Granted, the models and textures are theirs, but it was an idea I had. I haven't seen a Nubian Villager in my AOM game.

As to the unbalanced thing, well, it is, I just thought it was cool. The computer AI seems to recover pretty quickly from it. Basically, it is a quick delay in age advancement or something.
