Ok for this mod I have 6 files a anim.txt file I put into the anim folder then the protox.txt file in the data folder
a .grn file in the modles folder 2.ddt files in the textures folder and one ddt file in the textures/icons folder but I still cant seem to get this to work I have the Titans exp so Im not sure of the problem any help would be welcomed..

Ok, the only thing wrong is your Protox."txt". It needs to be a Protox."xmb". You can do this by saving the file as protox."xml" as the file name when saving it from notepad and then Direct File Conversioning it by using AOMed.

Keeping Protox.XML in your Data folder works too. You don't have to convert it to XMB.

^^^when if found that out a while ago I though "why the heck has nobody told us this".

On topic, make sure your protox is not just the protox of your single unit, but all the units. You add on to the protox.xml file.

What tool do I need to convert to XML ? (AOMed?)
I tried to save has with notepad but the file type did not show up..

AoMeD should be the tool to get an xml file out of an XMB.

I dont think you really understand what to do with protox's, is why i recommend to everyone to read the tutorials. Anyway, use aomed to convert the protox.xmb files into an xml. Then edit the xml as you please and save it. Not save as, just save. Then put it into your aom data folder, and voila there you are.

I have saved the protox into the data file but still can not bring Beowulf up in the game?
Does the roll over text in the file for Beowulf have to be
unique and if so does each roll over have to be a different number..

Ahhh! It is not rollovertext id that you change, but displaynameid. Replace that with and X. And incase anyone didnt know, you do not have to have numbers in the unit ids. Just use and X and it will still work. hope this helps!

Will the X bring him up in a 1 player game or just in the editor ?
I can bring him up in the editor but not in game..

You mean in an RM type map? You can't use him in an RM unless you made him train at a building, which requires you to edit the protox of that building.

NP. You will have to edit the techtreex and protox. Remember, the game can't read your mind. You have to tell it exactly what to do or it wont do it.
