Before one of the latest patches it was really simple to apply balance changes (and even new units like apothecary) to the vanilla and atlantis campaigns:
I would just replace/rename the "proto" file with the "protox" file (rename them in data folder in AOM) and that would apply the newest balance changes to all the campaigns.
But developers changed how the AOM files are set up, so now we have a ton of proto files ranging from proto1.0 all the way to proto2.5, as well as some weird ones like proto1.0-for-2.0.
Can someone who understands all these files and structures please tell me which file do i need to replace with which so that all the campaigns use the latest balance changes?
I do not know which campaign uses what proto file and do they use different proto files for each campaign
I tried replacing some of the proto files with proto2.5 (assuming thats the latest) but i could not get the Physician or Khopeshi Swordsman to appear in tier2 town centers for Greeks or Egyptions like it used to before all these file structure changes were implemented.
Thank you for helping.
