Hello,
I messed around proto.xml and techtree.xml in the hopes to achieve a repeatably researchable technology. The idea behind that is to research an upgrade and once its research is complete and that its effects kick in, you can immediately research it again.
In the editor, I had a vague recollection of being able to Set Tech Status any technology like Pickaxe and have its effects stack the number of times I had multiplied the trigger. So I figured I could try the same thing in here.
I first tried have a technology with an effect that sets itself OBTAINABLE, however that causes the game to crash.
I then tried to duplicate a technology and have each other set the other to OBTAINABLE. But somehow someway after researching the first technology the second one appears but the icon is red, and I can't interact with it.
Has anyone attempted something similar before? Or did someone achieved that effect? Thanks for your insight.

This answer, though quite hopeful, raised more questions :
1 - "sets the player's major god which removes researched techs"
"(1)Apply all currently researched techs again"
Wouldn't there be any performance concerns when going for something like this?
2 - "With some clever and convoluted trigger work"
This seems to suggest that somehow someway I can tie triggers to an upgrade? How would that work?
